You’ve Gotta See this Gun

For the parents who don’t like guns, stop reading.
Thanks for sticking with me. Maybe you like water guns, or you let your kids play paint ball games. This new gun may be the perfect gift.
Released in April from The Maya Group, their Xploderz™ line of toy guns or “toy blasters” is a unique combination of paint ball and water gun. The ammunition for these guns is made of 99.9% water in a pellet form that shoots up to 100 feet but it doesn’t stain and it disintegrates on impact to prevent injury. Magazines hold 250 Xploderz ammo.
You can buy fully-constituted ammo or you can buy pellet packs to H2Grow on your own. The pellets are filled with superabsorbent polymers that can even be planted in your garden after use to help with water conservation. So this toy is fun and “green.”
The website features 5 different models to choose from as well as ammunition options. It also features demonstrations, safety tips, and frequently asked questions.
If you are looking for something more oriented for girls, try Orbeez®. The same superabsorbent polymer materials are made into colorful spheres that can be used in several of their featured products including Soothing Spa (the Orbeez are used for massaging your aching feet), the Perfume Magic, where you can scent the Orbeez like potpourri, and the Orbeez Jewelry Maker, where you can fill different shapes for pendants and even light them up. There is even a special SpongeBob Squarepants project where you fill him up with yellow Orbeez.
The technology for the Xploderz and Orbeez pellets was invented in the 1960s for agriculture – the polymers helped soil retain moisture to help with water absorbency for the crops. Now look at it – two special toys for girls and boys. Both are available at most major retailers like Amazon, Target and Walmart, among others.
Please check out the Xploderz website (www.xploderz.com) and the Orbeez website (www.orbeezone.com) for much more about these products, games, demos and other fun things.
