Valentine’s Day

Memories of Valentine’s Days in the past have brought fond memories to me in the last few days. I can remember trading cards with my schoolmates, having a party, singing songs, all innocent fun. But recently, it seems that political correctness is having an effect on how this holiday can be celebrated. But today’s Famly First site shows how we used to do it, back in the good old days.

The site, called simply Valentine’s Day, is brief history of the holiday, from the life of St. Valentine, to the story of Cupid, and the first Valentine Day card. There are some good links to explore as well. You can even find out how long it is until that day, in case you need to go get flowers. This is a nice site to remember how it was, and how it is.
