USFL

The Super Bowl was played over a month ago. Now there is another league that is attempting to compete with the NFL, and doing it in an unusual way. But that league (who shall remain nameless here) has reminded me of another such attempt at competing against that league. They didn’t succeed but their attempt is the subject of today’s FamSite.

Called USFL, this site is a history of the United States Football League. Formed in the early 1980′s to compete with the NFL monopoly, it only lasted three years. But some of the greats of football played in this league, such as Marcus Dupree, Herschel Walker, Reggie White, and others. This site has information on all the team, all the players, all the games, all the history and excitement of this league. There is quite a bit of multimedia content here, both audio and video, that complements the viewing of this site.
