The Wizard of OZ

There’s no place like home. That is the lesson that young Dorothy Gale learned when she journeyed to the Land of Oz, and had the adventures that have entertained millions of children for almost 100 years. The magic is about to return again.
This past week, the 1939 film classic The Wizard of Oz, was shown on television. It was a totally remastered film, which showed the beauty and color not seen since it’s original showings. It is truly a magical experience seeing this on a television screen. The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion will seem to jump off the screen, they are so life like. The Good Witch, as well as the Wicked Witch of the West, are there in their colorful glory. Oh, yes, Toto, too.
This site is a celebration of not only the film, but the entire Oz culture and phenomena. There are links to other Oz sites, as well as movie trivia, pictures and sounds. Be sure to bookmark this site and return often.
