The Shadow Real Audio Radio Theatre

“Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!”

These words opened many a program in the golden age of radio. The master of darkness was a mainstay in those by gone years, and has become an icon of the nostalgia of that age. But today’s Famsite wipes away some of the cobwebs, and brings back the days when radio drama was king.

The Shadow RealAudio Radio Theatre is a place where a visitor can hear original broadcasts the way they were originally delivered. The RealAudio player is needed, but can be downloaded here. It is also possible to download the entire show and listen to it later. There are some interesting links to other Shadow related sites, as well as some information about the people that are responsible for this site.

So sit back, relax, and return to those exciting days of yesteryear, when radio was king, and the only limits to adventures were our imagination.

    I miss being able to listen to the shadow.... other then i got a few on my computer and 630CHED sometimes plays them on the old time radio shows but i still miss em. Even though i wasnt around when they came out i still listen to em. Its nice to play on the computer and listen to the Shadow and Margo try to stop a crime. Nikki

    It's worse than that. Shadowradio.org has been shut down by Conde Nast, the copyright holder. (Apparently, yes, those old shows ARE still copyrighted). It won't be coming back. :( -DS-

    shadowradio.org as of 02-25-04 still not running anyone know what has happened. I really enjoyed listening to the programs, if it is not coming back does anyone else know where you can go to listen?

    Today on Feb 8th I tried to connect with shadowradio.org like I akways do. Something happen and I cannot do it. Could you contact the principal at this site to determine what the priblem is?? R, Conrad
