The Naked Archaeologist

It’s not too often that a FamilyFirst pick has the work “naked” in its title. But if you watch history International, or CATV, then you know that the naked Archaeologist is the cleanest-cut guy you’ll ever know.
His name is Simcha Jacobovici. Believe me, it’s easier to pronounce than to spell. He’s Jewish, he’s an archaeologist, and he has an attitude. note what his bio has to say about him:

He dances. He raps. He clambers under barbed wire and over fences in search of the most extraordinary archaeological finds from the ancient Middle East, and crosses swords with some of the world’s foremost archaeologists, historians and scientists. Shot on location in Israel, Egypt and Greece.

All I know is that I’m a fan. Simcha takes archaeology and makes it funny, intersting, fascinating, and irresistible.
Another thing that i like about him is he takes up for the bible when it’s needlessly attacked by skeptical theorists.
A doubter defies a Biblical date. Simcha demands a reason for it. When none is forthcoming, he asks why disagree with the Good Book, when Biblical archaeology has been proven again and again?
Regardless of whether or not you’re religious, you’ll still get a kick out of this Jewish dynamo as he digs his way to the truth.

His Jewish-centric view of the universe leaves much to be desired, in my opinion. He seems to think that anything important came from Palestine. His credentials are also foggy. Though he's clearly not a working archaeologist, he blithely ignores the opinions of archaeologists, and promotes his own literal interpretation of the Old Testament as if it's proven fact, and that everyone else is simply misguided. I'm very interested in the subjects he addresses, but I don't care for the self-serving way he presents them. He speaks of alphabetic writing, for instance, as if it were invented by Hebrews or Canaanites, ignoring the evidence of older cultures elsewhere, such as India and China. But the editing style is interesting. I give the show overall a grade of C.

He's pretty good with Old Testament topics, but seems to really go off into left field when he deals with anything from the New Testament. I've recorded 35 episodes of his show and watched about half of them so far; and I can't decide whether to recommend them to others, or to stop watching them myself. That's how uneven I think the quality has been from one episode to the next.

Simcha has a good mind and an open mind. If he would read YESHUA by Yacov Rambsel, he would find it a life-changing experience.

HI MY SISTER IS TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THAT SIMCHA GUY FROM THE NAKED ARCHAEOLOGIST SHOW AND SHE SITS THERE AND LAUGHS HERSELF SILLY OVER THE SHOW. CAN YOU HELP ME? DO YOU THINK HER YEARS OF ENDLESS CHEMO HAS DRIVEN HER MAD? (SHE HAS STAGE FOUR CANCER) DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET HER ANY THING FROM HIM?
