The Most Incredible VeggieTales Yet!

VeggieTales are such a wonderful way to entertain and teach kids about respecting each other, having strong values and learning more about the Bible. The newest release, out tomorrow, October 13, 2012 in Christian stores and in general release October 16, outdoes itself.

VeggieTales The League of Incredible Vegetables is based on Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You” and has all the hallmarks of a great super hero movie.

My kids – ranging from 4 ½ to almost 12 all really liked the movie, especially what I think is the catchiest theme song yet for a VeggieTale movie, sung by the Newsboys. The accompanying music video for the song includes the very first time humans have ever appeared together with the VeggieTales. Watch it here.

This is the fourth installment in the popular “LarryBoy” series. The disc also introduces four new super heroes played by Bob the Tomato (Thingamabob), Petunia Rhubarb (Vogue), Junior Asparagus (Ricochet) and Mr. Lunt (S-Cape). They each have their own super abilities which allow them to work together against negative forces.

Villains come to town and want to freeze the town in fear. When LarryBoy can’t help alone, he turns to his super hero friends to help. They overcome their own fears (through God’s help, of course) to (spoiler alert) defeat evil.

And, of course, there’s a new Silly Song called “Supper Hero” a funny play on the food items that make up VeggieTales.

The DVD includes a sing-along, music video, behind the scenes and a parents’ guide to “Raising Incredible Kids.”

Check it out – your kids will love it and so will you!
