The Cowsills

I was listening to the radio today, and heard a sound that I hadn’t heard for years. It was the theme from the movie “Hair”, as sung by a 1960′s rock group. But what surprised me was that it wasn’t a recording, but that group singing it live in the studio of a nationally syndicated radio program. I remember them from that time, and it brought back so many memories, I thought I would share the web page of the group with Family First Site visitors today.
The name of the group is The Cowsills. They were BIG in the late 1960′s, and served as the unofficial inspiration for the television show the Partridge Family. They were a group of brothers, a sister and their mother. At this site you can find out what they have been doing for the past 30 years, hear some of their big hits via real audio, and view some great photos, from both fans and professionals. This is a great trip down memory lane.
If you are near Lake Elsinore tonight, June 22nd, you will have a chance to hear them live and in person, as they sing the national anthem at the Minor League All-star game, and give a concert afterward. It will be a truly great evening.
