As you probably know, I'm all about nostalgia.
My I remember JFK site has been a labor of love for two years now, and the site's basic premise is nostalgia, specifically of the Baby Boomer flavor.
Today's FamilyFirst pick is a flash movie that runs about five minutes. It's called T... continue reading...

He's one of the most recognizable faces all over the world. He was born in 1941, yet still looks like he's seventeen years old. He has two girlfriends who are both crazy about him and jealous of each other. And the biggest worries are pop quizzes in school.
Of course, I'm talking about Archie An... continue reading...

Well, as a card-carrying member of the Baby Boomers, it's time for me to pay homage to my fellow middle-aged youths (and throw in a teaser for a website I'm developing in the process).
What constitutes a Boomer? Opinions vary, but Wikipedia defines the Boomer generation as running from 1945 to the... continue reading...

I have a pretty darned nice stereo system in my car. It's a multimedia player that handles all sorts of formats, including standard and mp3 cd's as well as having a USB port so I can copy eight hours of music onto a 512 MB flash drive straight from my computer. It's cool stuff!
However, if you ... continue reading...

What could be more fun for a kid than to make a microscope?
Okay, maybe I'm speaking about ME as a kid. But the fact is that kids, even those who aren't nuts about science, still can have lots of fun with scientific experiments.
That's where today's FamilyFirst site comes in. It's called Fun Scien... continue reading...

Man has long been fascinated by magic. In ancient times, magicians claimed to use supernatural means to perform feats of magic. Today, we know it's not supernatural acts, but rather sleight-of-hand that makes magicians do seemingly impossible things.
Today's FamilyFirst site is a collection ... continue reading...

What a week.
I love my job, but sometimes all you-know-what breaks loose. That's been the case all week, with one system after another that I'm responsible for having beaucoups problems.
So it's sweet Friday at last! And it's time to have some fun. So today's FamilyFirst site is a nice, lightweig... continue reading...

Gadgets we love 'em! That's why today's FamilyFirst site pays homage to that most fascinating piece of human engineering: the gadget.
The site is called Engadget. It's a blog that provides reviews, news, and gossip about gadgets of all sorts.
For instance, at presstime, there was a review of the ... continue reading...

Today's FamilyFirst site is a multimedia blast for kids (although this forty-something was blown away too)!
It's called KBears, and it's tons of Flash. I've always liked Flash, because it loads instantly over broadband, and pretty quickly over dialup as well. And when it's done right, as here, it's an ... continue reading...

When I was in school, the one subject that I HATED was math. There just wasn't anything the least bit interesting about putting numbers together, taking them away, etc. etc.
Well, had the internet been around way back in the 60's and 70's, I might have taken a little better to arithmetic with a ... continue reading...
