Problem: Your cat likes to get on your kitchen counter.
Ewwww. I don’t care how much you like cats, that’s bad. Cats use their feet to take care of litterbox business. You don’t want those feet on your kitchen counter.
How does one keep a pet feline from polluting the same area where one prepares one’s food?
Solution: the Blender defender.

TIME Magazine’s 100 Best TV Shows of All Time

So, what would you say the greatest TV show ever was?
Everyone has an opinion. Most of them are quite contemptible
However, we are all fascinated by Top 100 (or 50 or 10) Lists.
Today, we offer such a collection of greatness. It’s TIME Magazine’s list of the 100 best TV shows of all time.
The list is alphabetized, so there’s no bad-to-best order.

The commentary is priceless, too. Check out this review of Rocky and Friends, aka Bullwinkle:

Considering that we didn’t all get blown up, I think we can now agree that the Cold War was worth it, if only for giving us this Ike-era spy-vs.-spy send-up, in which Rocket J. Squirrel and lovable dimwit Bullwinkle J. Moose defended the US of A against Pottsylvanian sneak Boris Badenov and the slinky Natasha Fatale. Writer-animator Jay Ward’s other creations (on Rocky as well as its follow-up The Bullwinkle Show) included oblivious Mountie Dudley Do-Right; time-traveling canine inventor Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman; and the Fractured Fairy Tales narrated by Edward Everett Horton. All shared a love of puns (Bullwinkle was an alum of Wassamatta U), a fast pace and a nothing-sacred sensibility. Rocky may not have won the space race, but it gave red-blooded American kids a leg up on the Russkies in appreciating satire.

Ultimate Dumbbell Fitness

There are still inventive minds out there. Sure, Thomas Edison isn’t around any more, but there are still bright individuals who think up new ideas, then pursue their dream by patenting and producing the product.
Such a mind is that possessed by Steve Evans, who has invented a dumbbell bench that has revolutionized the way you work out with dumbbells.
Today’s FamilyFirst pick is entitled Ultimate Dumbbell Fitness – The Ultimate Dumbbell Bench.
Here’s the site’s mission: “(Steve Evans) saw inherent flaws in existing weight benches for the weight trainer who preferred dumbbells. So he set to work and created a bench that makes dumbbell workouts safe, effective, and easy on the back.”

And they really are. Note what a certified fitness trainer had to say about this bench: “I like the Ultimate Dumbell Fitness Bench because I don’t have to wrestle with dumbbells. In other words, I spend quality time lifting weights. Also, no more dropping dumbbells into your gym floor.”
Steve’s benches come in four different sizes. They handle maximum weights of from 35 to 120 lb. dumbbells. Man, I wouldn’t want to mess with anyone who could press 120 lb. dumbbells a few reps!

One of the greatest inventors of all time has his own web page. What is so unusual about that, you might ask? Nothing, except this inventor passed away over 60 years ago, before the computer was invented and long before the Internet was even thought of. But his presence is still being felt today, even as you look at your monitor.

The man’s name is Thomas Edison, and at his home page a visitor can learn about the contributions that he has made to our lifestyles today. While he didn’t invent the light bulb, he did perfect it and made it work. But the hundreds of patents that he holds cover a wide variety of subjects from telegraphy to motion pictures to audio recordings. His career really started to blossom when he created one of the first electrical utility companies in the country. Here you can learn about that event.

Urban Legends Reference Page

When the legend becomes fact, print the legend. So ends the film “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” with James Stewart and John Wayne. Legends sometimes are less than truthful, sometimes are a stretch of the imagination, sometimes they are 100% true. But at one time or another, they could have been an urban legend.

An urban legend is one that may or may not have happened. It is one that everyone has heard of, but never saw. I have heard of several from friends, but have never actually seen one. Here at todays site, you can see such urban legends as the private club that is located within the New Orleans Square at Disneyland (true), Mike Nesmith’s mother is the inventor of Liquid Paper (true), and Marilyn Monroe was the model for Tinkerbelle in Peter Pan (false). These, and more, types of legends can be found on this page. The amount of material here is varied enough to every visitor entertained. Enjoy this stop on the cyber highway.
