It is fall again, the traditional time for students to pick up their books and head back to school. When I was a student books were in paper format, with covers and bindings, and margins you could write in. Today it is not unusual for books to be on CD, and computers are needed to read and study them. It makes for easy storage, but writing on the margins can be a real chore. Entertainment for students has changed as well. I can remember sneaking in a transistor radio so I could listen to the World Series (that was when the games were broadcast during the day). Today, students have other entertainment options that are available to them, most of which are used to help study, or pass the time while studying. One of the most popular items is the iPod by Apple Computers. Many colleges are providing them to students for use in their classes.
