It’s been fun observing from the sidelines as trends have come and gone. I’ve seen the paisly of the 60’s, the polyester of the 70’s, the spikes of the 80’s, and the dot-com boom of the 90’s that led to many tech workers going to work in shorts, t-shirts, and sandals.
Early in the 70’s we got nostalgic for the 50’s and early 60’s. American Graffiti appeared in 1973 and the nostalgia craze was on. AG led to Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley. Grease kept the fires going. Looking back, virtually the entire decade of the 70’s was a long, wistful look back to happier times.
