Todays FamilyFirst site is called SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A.
SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. is the national non-profit organization dedicated to child passenger safety. Founded in 1980, they are a nationally recognized for program excellence, training, and up-to-date technical materials. They do a great work, keeping kids safe in carseats.
Despite state laws, the tragic fact is that many kids still get seriously injured or killed as a result of being in automobile accidents while NOT being securely buckled into carseats.
This site goes a long way towards promoting safe child transport.
There are lots of great resources here. For instance, schools will be able to make use of the videos and posters encouraging safety seat usage. Theres a Technical Encyclopedia that goes into great detail about the finer points of keeping kids safe. The Recall List is based on the latest information received, and will give you the confidence of knowing that your carseat is sound.
Parents and grandparents: you MUST visit the page entitled If I knew then what I know now. You will be determined to keep your young loved ones safely strapped in.
