Reasons Why Parents Prefer Home SchoolingOctober 3, 2013 No Comments
Most of us have learned that the school is the next training ground after home. This is where children learn values and lessons that they use in real life. It can’t be denied that the school is a valuable place to learn especially to the children. However, there are parents who no longer want their children to enroll in schools. They now prefer their kids to be home schooled rather than enroll them in day care centers. There are pros and cons in enrolling in home school. Here are the reasons why many have turned to home school.
First of all, parents can negotiate for a lower price when they prefer home school. In schools, the tuition is fixed and you can never negotiate with the price. In home schooling, there are many factors to consider including the number of hours, the lessons being taught, the level of difficulty and materials being used. Once these things are considered, parents can negotiate for a much lower price.
Parents can also monitor the progress of their kids. When they enroll in home school, the lessons being taught are customized according to their needs, their learning capacity and of course their pace in learning. Parents can clearly see how their kids are doing because they are just near. They can then dictate what lessons to add and what lessons to skip because they know their kids more than other people.
These are only some of reasons why parents prefer enrolling their kids in home school rather than enroll them in private or public schools.
