Qlock

One of the things that baffles me is time zones. We use a product at work that is produced in Australia, and when we implemented it, I had to speak to their tech support. It was absolutely bizarre knowing that I was speaking to them at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, it was 7:00 PM on WEDNESDAY there!
Well, it all got clearer to me when I visited today’s FamilyFirst pick. It’s called Qlock, and their specialty is time all over the world.
They offer a great software download. It is programmable to give you the current time in places all over the globe, a handy thing to have in this day and age when you may be doing business with someone on the other side of the world.

It5 also has features like sticky notes, a feed reader, a live exchange rate display, and lots more. There are both free and professional versions.
But what’s really cool is their live map showing you what time it is all over the world, along with a display showing what part of the planet is currently light and dark.
THAT’s when I finally came to terms with Australia’s timezone placement.
So check out today’s FamilyFirst site, and know not only what date and time it is all over the world, but WHY it’s that way.
