Promisekeepers

Several years ago, there was a “man’s movement” that was popular for awhile. Its purpose was for men to get together, and rediscover the bonding that men have with each other, in a positive sociological setting. I was part of such a group at a private agency where my wife and I had gotten foster children through. Our concept was it was okay for guys to get together and gossip and let off steam about the pressures of everyday life, in a neutral and non-threatening setting.

Today’s website is features an organization that is similar in nature but is based on a very solid religious foundation. The Official PromiseKeeper’s Web Site describes this group’s founding, growth, and future plans, as well as keeping the regular viewers informed of changes and updates in activities. There are many areas to this site, which is also available in Spanish on the web. Some of the areas focus on up coming seminars and conferences, while others give updates on areas that PromiseKeepers are interested in. There is a strong section called Meet Jesus, which describes the break up of man’s relationship with God, and how it can be rebuilt through His son Jesus. There is an on-line prayer room where prayers can be offered for those in need, and where prayers can be asked for.

There is so much to see and do on this site. It is a great place to stay and do a little surfing. Check out the online store for some great buys, and enjoy your visit. It isn’t often that a site dares to fly in the face of political correctness. The beliefs and philosophy found here are based on the Bible and it’s teachings (also known as the Word of God). The words of God do come alive on this site.

  1. RICK DOYLE says:
Pss.9 [11] Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. Pss.102 [21] To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; Isa.12 [4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Isa.42 [12] Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands. Tob.13 [6] If ye turn to him with your whole heart, and with your whole mind, and deal uprightly before him, then will he turn unto you, and will not hide his face from you. Therefore see what he will do with you, and confess him with your whole mouth, and praise the Lord of might, and extol the everlasting King. In the land of my captivity do I praise him, and declare his might and majesty to a sinful nation. O ye sinners, turn and do justice before him: who can tell if he will accept you, and have mercy on you? Sir.17 [9] He gave them to glory in his marvellous acts for ever, that they might declare his works with understanding. Sir.39 [10] Nations shall shew forth his wisdom, and the congregation shall declare his praise.
