We have always been fascinated by polls. And while some polls are definitely slanted to reflect the desired results of the poller, there is safety in numbers, meaning a multiplicity of polls displaying similar results is a good judge of public opinion.
With that, I present today’s FamilyFirst pick: PollingReport.com.
There are all sorts of polls here, including approval ratings for the President, former Presidents, and other political figures.

Issues are also included, such as abortion, stem cell research, guns, immigration, energy, and crime.
As you can see, it’s pretty volatile ground. And many of the subjects are likely to elicit strong opinions one way or another.
It was eye-opening to see certain opinions based on demographics. For example, only 17% of blacks feel like they have the same job opportunities as whites. On the other hand, two thirds of blacks thought that there had been “significant” progress towards Martin Luther King’s dream of racial equality. Interesting stuff.
So drill down through the polls here and find out what is on people’s minds, categorized by political affiliation, race, and other demographics.
