Ever heard of Pilobolus?
I hadn’t, but I am now a fan.
Pilobolus is a dance troupe who perform in front of a backlit screen, so that it’s their shadows that you see.
And what they make those shadows do is simply amazing.
Today’s FamilyFirst pick is a routine performed by Pilobolus on the Conan O’Brien show.

They basicallt act out the 60′s hit Summer in the City, presenting a daily view of city life, including visiting the zoo, seeing the Statue of Liberty, riding in the cab, and portraying the ubiquitous “I Love NY” sign.
There’s more, too, and it’s a stunning piece of work.
it only runs about three minutes, so watch close!
