Black and white photography is an art. Over the years, several people have become noted for the quality of work they have done in that medium. One person that everyone thinks of at once is Ansel Adams. But today the Family First Site will visit a place in cyberspace to another photographer who has a very well developed technique that gives very eye pleasing results.
His name is Fred Stein, and while you may not be familiar with the name, you are with his work. At this site you can see his photographs that have graced various publications from the 1930′s to the 1960′s. You can read about his life, his escape from Nazi Germany at the start of World War II, and his philosophy in taking pictures. The works you see hear are really pleasing to the eye.
So stop by, and enjoy these photographs. I hesitate to call them pictures, since they are a work of art. Have a pleasant visit.
