With the draconian tactics and control of the desperate, dying RIAA, the music you can listen to on the internet is quite limited. But yes, there are legal ways around it.
For instance, there is internet radio.
Make no mistake, internet radio is very much in the RIAA’s gunsights. But it’s still legal at this point.
Enter Pandora Radio, today’s FamilyFirst pick.
Pandora lets you select an artist or multiple artists, then it creates playlists based on, not only your selections, but other artists with similar sounds.
For example, I selected Neil Young. The playlist that was created included old Neil himself, the Who, and Phish, among others.
Interestingly, those artists happen to be favorites of mine.
So enter in your own faves and enjoy the playlists that are generated. There are discreet, non-intrusive advertisements that appear on the actual website, that’s the only cost you have to pay.
