Leapin’ Lizards, It’s Little Orphan Annie

Leapin’ lizards, has it really been almost 80 years since our favorite little orphan made her appearance in the comic strips. Yes it has been, and today’s FamSite takes a look at a little girl called Annie.

The site is called Annie, where a visitor can read about the adventure of a little orphan who is always having an adventure. With Daddy Warbucks and her pet dog Sandy, she is still having those adventures today, the same as she did when the strip first started in the 1920′s. You can read the current comic strip, as well as look back at selected strips over the life of the comic. There is a timeline with significant events as well as nostalgic events of our country. There is a section called Annie’s Clubhouse where a visitor can get coloring pages, listen to old radio broadcasts from the 1930′s and 40′s, as well as some cool trivia. There is also a special message area called Sandy’s Barking Board where you can exchange mail with fellow fans.

So why wait for the sun to come out tomorrow, when you can visit Little Orphan Annie today. Don’t wait, head on over and have a good time. Be sure to share this site with a friend as well.

I'm in search of the vintage lace or tie up boots that the orphans wore. I need a girls size 1. Any idea where I can purchase these?

I got the dollhouse in the 1980's so I have no idea what it cost originally. There are some Victorian dollhouses at Hobby Lobby that run about $150.

Could you tell me what you paid for the dollhouse - I am looking for one that is similar. Ellyn
