Internet Fraud Complaint Center

With the increase in the use of the Internet, there is an increase in companies doing business over that medium. With an increase in this booming e-commerce arena, there unfortunately will be an increase in e-rip-offs. If you or someone you know thinks that they may have been taken advantage of, then today’s FamSite is one you will want to visit.

Called the Internet Fraud Complaint Center, this site is a collaboration of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). Here you can find out what constitutes internet fraud, how to file and follow up on a complaint, how to resolve complaints, and statistics on this type of crime (currently under construction). There are also links to the FBI and the NW3C for visitors to find out more about those agencies.

    Beware PeoplePC is a fraudulent organisation. I have never ordered any internet access service from them but somehow they got my credit card info and charged me for initiating a service. Why would i need dial-up service when i get it for free as part of my DSL service with SBC ? It is clear PeoplePC is purchasing stolen CreditCard info to book sales or contracting with a Sales organisation to book sales which relies on stolen credit card info.I called PeoplePC to complain and after 15 mins got thru to a rep when i asked to speak to her manager and was hung up on.

    Dockxter is a huge scam. DO NOT BUY ANY CARS WITH THIS SHIPPING COMPANY AS AN ESCROW SERVICE! You will never see the car, your money will be gone in a second once the wire is complete. www.DockXter-Shipping.com/ is the link they used. Hope this helps someone to be scammed as we were.     from 3 days i was going on this site for loging the contest for paticipation and suddenly this win contest disappeared and they only left the name on website when u open it there is nothing now. then what about the decleration of prizes they said they announce later for people if they win the contest.just look into the matter i dont know specifically but i thought to mention abt it.

    peoplepc internet service has refer a friend and will send you a twenty five dollar check after the friend has the service for three months, well it's been four months and i've sent many emails to peoplepc and all they can say is were looking into this matter. and now they won't even email me back for the past two weeks. there service is not that good and there are better internet services with a cheaper price. i want everyone to know that they do not pay for refering a friend.

    i would like to let u know that i have been scamed by a company where i tried to buy a dvd via the internet and now its over a month and still not received but they took the money out of my account straight away i was wondering if u could give me any advice on what i could do now as i dont know what to do when i email this business they reply saying it has been sent long ago.
