What would you do for a free $500 gift card? How about a new Sony Viao Laptop? One company is hoping you’ll jump through a few hoops to get some incredible rewards is the subject of today’s Family First site. I’ll be honest, you have to do some things to get these the rewards, but there is gold at the end of the rainbow if you follow the rules.

After enrolling, and in order to participate and receive your free membership gift and test products, you must:
1) submit zip code, e-mail, and mailing address information
2) review special offers and complete requested surveys
3) complete two offers from Reward Offers Page One, two offers from Reward Offers Page Two, and four offers from Reward Offers Page Three.
Be sure to take your time, read ALL of the information provided, and then follow through. If you have any questions, there is an email address provided for that purpose.
Now take a look at the goodies you can get. Some of the items that you can choose from are:
$500 Radio Shack Gift Card
$500 J. C. Penney Gift Card
$500 Home Depot Gift Card
Sony Vaio Laptop computer.
Not bad, huh? In baseball, you have to touch all the bases. The same goes for this offer. But if you do, the rewards are worth it.

I recently signed up for a Pier 1 card from i-dealrewards.com. I have done this type of thing before with other companies and it had worked. With i-dealrewards.com, it didn't. I spent $98 signing up for various offers and I never recieved the link that you need to check the status of the offers you signed up for. You need this link to check status, verify your email and recieve correspondance from the company. I have emailed them about 10 times and never any response. They are impossible to contact and have the least amount of options on the home page (i.e help, unsubscribe, account page, etc.) I strongly caution you when considering this company.

What does complete an offer with i-dealrewards.com mean? Does it mean you have to open a credit card account? If it does, then opening several credit card accounts may not be good advice from a family web site. I have seen a lot of information about people not receiving the merchandise promised, especially the PCs.

I've recently subscribed to your ezine, and I think it's a wonderful way to introduce readers to good websites they might not otherwise know are there! I wonder... How might a person submit a website for your review? I host www.ShoppingTimeLeft.com, where online shoppers can easily find gifts for Christmas listed by ordering deadlines. Many merchants also offer e-gift certificates and downloads for those last minute shoppers. Might you take a look and see if it is right for your readers? Thanks.

Problem with i-dealrewards is that they appear to have connections with some shady outfits. As you move through the survey additional ones are thrown at you through pop-up windows, and even if you pass on these offers, these sites try to grab your address, email and phone number without telliing you they're doing it (remember, you turned down their offers). ZoneAlarm's ID Lock feature went crazy while I was scanning these offers, and it was enough to turn me off the whole i-rewards deal. If you do go through it, be prepared for an avalanche of spam and numerous unwanted phone calls.
