Horatio Hornblower

Over the years there have been many books written about sailing ships, and the men who sailed them. Characters such as Captain Bligh, Mr. Christianson, and Captain Ahab have become literary legends. Today’s FamSite visits one such person who is enjoying a resurgence in popularity.

The site is called Horatio Hornblower, and the site is one sponsored by the Arts and Entertainment cable channel. They have produced a 4-part mini-series based on episodes from the C. S. Forester books. But there is more here as well. There are links to fan pages, interviews with the cast and crew, video clips, a quiz, book club and more. This show was first broadcast several months ago, but is currently being shown again on A&E cable network. The show has excellent production values, and is worth watching again and again.
