Hopalong Cassidy

One of the icons of American movies, television, and radio was the cowboy. Growing up in the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s, they were the desire of boys all over the country. (Some girls, too, I would imagine). There were John Wayne, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and too some, the greatest of all, Hopalong Cassidy.

The site today is one that is dedicated to the memory of William Boyd, a.k.a. Hopalong Cassidy. For over 60 years, he was the epitome of gallantry and chivalry, someone who believed in fair play, and was always polite to the ladies. At this site, a visitor can see who and what this legend is how it came to be, and listen and see the memories that are left with us. There is a chance to order some of the films, videos and cassettes of the stories he was in. There are books and other special collectibles. But most important is the spirit of Hopalong.

If you grew up watching Hoppy in the movies on Saturday mornings, or on television, this site will bring back a lot of nostalgic memories. If it is the first time to experience him, spend some time exploring the site, and enjoy it. It is a great place to visit.
