Historical Cencus Browser

Researching the historic roots of our families has long been a favorite pastime. The advent of computers has made it a whole lot easier, take my word for it. The Internet has even made it easier.

Today’s Family First site is one that features data that can help any genealogical research. It is the United States Historical Census Browser. While not listing specific names, it is a wealth of information and data on every census since 1790. Sorting the data based on the actual questions asked during the census year, the data providing can be very revealing, and interesting to look at.

Researching ones family roots can be a big puzzle. Sites like this help put some of the pieces of that puzzle together. Enjoy the site.

    I am trying to find out information about my grandmother. She was a Cherokee indian born around 1915 on a reservation in W Va (I believe) and adopted by my great grandparents, last name Rice, who lived in Ohio. She shows up on the 1920 census but that is as far as I get. How would I find adoption records or something of that sort to research further? Howard

    Iam looking for HENRY HABURLY OR HAYBURLY whom was married to Charlotte Pickering of Toronto Ont. Canada and thier childern probbaly before the first W.W. Charlotte remarried to Joesph Spence after he died.

    i am trying to find out more about my grandma, her name was Violet Sutton and as far as i know was brought up in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. i also know she was married to my grandfather Kenneth but my family disowned him (thats something i would also like to find out!) she had 7 children including my mother, but i would like to know about her parents and maybe visit where they used to live. it would mean alot to me and my mother to find as much as we can about them! thank you.

    I am trying to find my great grandfather's role number and trace his root. He was a choctaw indian born in 1866. His name is George Washinton Price. He was born in Paris Texas. His mom was born in Kansas. She was brought to Texas when he family was killed by the United State calvary. She was only 12 years old, her name was Matelda Danfort. I believe the White man gave her that name after the captured her.can you please help me. God Please.
