Films Based on Historical Events

History. you either love it or hate it. Sort of like the Dallas Cowboys.
While I despise “America’s Team,” I love history.
And the fact is that many Hollywood films have been made that are, at least partially, based on history.
Of course, artistic license abounds.
But that fact notwithstanding, today’s FamilyFirst pick will give you a nice list of films based on historical events.

The movies run the gamut from classics like Cleopatra to more recent offerings like The Last King of Scotland, which documents the madman known as Idi amin.
The list is by no means all-inclusive, but it does present a nice offering of historical films.
