Faces of Valor
July 5, 2004 2 Comments

Over the past weekend, we have been celebrating the anniversary of the birth of our nation, and the events that surrounded it. It is a time to remember who we are as a country, and where we are at today as a nation, and how we got there. It is through the sacrifices of our forefathers that have made the biggest impact on our nation.
But on this holiday, we need to remember our fellow country men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Specifically, we should spend a few moments remembering the service people who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror, a battle that began unprovoked on September 11th, 2001, and continues to this day, in far off foriegn lands. At todays Family First site, you can see each and every one of them who has given their life, and learn a little about them, from their local newspapers. This puts a very real and personal face on the war against terroism, and makes one proud to be an American.
As President Bush said when the cowards attacked the World Trade Center, this battle will take a long time, and it will hurt. Our hearts go out today to the families of these heroes, and we salute them.
