June 7, 2011 No Comments
Tomorrow is National Best Friends Day and also marks the one-year anniversary of the organization American Freedom Foundation (AFF) and BFF Entertainment’s affiliation. AFF was founded to “raise awareness for the service and sacrifice of our veterans and men and women of America’s armed forces,” according to a recent press release. BFF Entertainment manufacturers the BFF bracelets.
For $10, you can buy a camouflage-colored BFF bracelet that, once purchased, is registered with a unique serial number and a bracelet with the same number is sent to a military member to connect you. BFF is the short form of “Best Friends Forever.”
What a great activity for you and your kids for the summer!
“Through the BFF Bracelet Program, our hope is to promote appreciation of the importance of friendship, service and community while raising awareness for the American Freedom Foundation,” said Meryl Poster, co-founder of BFF Entertainment. “National Best Friends Day is synonymous with the mission of this initiative.”
In the last year, the foundation has sold over 10,000 bracelets and has caught the attention of such celebrities as Jordin Sparks, Christie Brinkley, Victoria Justice, Demi Lovato and America Ferrera.
Throughout its short existence, AFF has made grants of approximately $750,000 to over 30 organizations and causes throughout the country serving and supporting our veterans, active duty military, wounded warriors and their families.
