Freeware.
Is there a better word in the English language?
In this day and age of Microsoft sniffing around our pc’s and screaming “illegal” in the case of many completely legal Windows installations, it’s refreshing to find software that has been donated to the public, with no nags, threats, or hassles.
Today’s FamilyFirst site is called Concise Freeware. They have done all of the work of locating and indexing all of the best freeware that you can download.
For instance, let’s take a look under customization.
Sweet freebies include Magical Glass, which turns your mouse cursor into a magnifying glass. ToggleRes quickly switches between screen resolutions. SafeTweak XP Resource has hundreds of safe tweaks to make XP less annoying. Autoplay Repair gives you real control over what Windows automatically runs when you plug in media.
Whew! That’s only a sample of one area!
Other freeware options include games, graphics, internet (if you don’t have Firefox yet, click on their Google Toolbar version and make them a buck or two), sound, and the always popular miscellaneous.
Other free stuff includes articles, services, information, and art.
So pop in and enjoy a ton of freeware. It’s all been hand-picked by Concise Freeware.
