Computer Repair Fraud

We all love computers, right?
OK, maybe that’s going too far. But we all DEPEND on them, right?
Probably a majority of Americans feel like they need personal computers, in my strictly unscientific opinion.
Many owners (particularly the younger ones) have gotten comfortable with opening them up and adding/removing/check out components.
So if something goes wrong, they are likely to try to fix it themselves before calling for help.

But many don’t feel comfortable opening up the case. They have to depend on computer repair shops to help them out.
Today’s FamilyFirst pick is a YouTube video that documents an investigation by geekteks.com
They took a number of perfectly working computers and dislodged the IDE cable that attaches to their hard drives.
A semi-geek should be able to spot such an issue in seconds.
Watch what happens when professionals are invited to diagnose and fix the problem.
Be very, very disturbed by some of these clowns. And by all means, ask lots of questions and look for positive comments from customers before turning your own computer over to a repair center.
