Blackmask Online

Technology has changed our day to day lives in many ways. It used to be that you listened to your music on a record, or a cassette and then CDs. Now it’s common to have an electronic gizmo that you upload your customized playlists to. Television used to come in over an antenna, now it’s usually a cable, and the number of channels has increased a hundred fold. Today’s Family First site takes a look at one site that has a niche in how you read a book. And best of all, it is mostly free!

The site is called Blackmask Online, a provider of Internet literature. There are literally thousands of ebooks here in many different subject areas. Instead of carrying one or two books to read with you, now you can carry hundreds and read them on your smart phone, PDA or computer. This site’s subjects include liberal arts, nautical, and history. Two areas that I enjoy are the Pulp Fiction (which features the dime novels from the early 20th century), and For Boys and Girls (which features stories such as Tom Swift, the Moving Picture Boys, and the Bobbsey Twins, among others). This fairly eclectic collection is being added to all the time, so be sure to bookmark it.
One thing that makes this site so nice is they feature their books in many different ebook formats. They support MS Reader, Mobipocket, iSilo, Rocket eBook, and Adobe Acrobat, among others. So no matter what your platform, you should be able to find a good book here in a format that you can use.
