Biking Through Southeast Asia

Mention the words Southeast Asia, and the response you receive will depend on the age of the person you talk to. Older people will associate it with the War in Vietnam. Younger ones will think of an area that is blossoming in both tourism and business opportunities. But today’s Family Site that will feature it in a way that will give everyone a new way to look at this part of the world.

The site is called Biking Through Southeast Asia, and is a site featuring the exploits of one man’s journeys through Laos and Vietnam. There are some great photographs of the actual bike trip, as well as history of the sites along the way. The stories that are told here show a side to this country that I am sure few of us have ever thought about, considering the coverage this part of the world has received. The episode called First Aid is especially good.

The Internet is slowly bringing the far reaches of the world into our living room. This site, with its National Geographic-style coverage, is a pure pleasure to visit. Enjoy your stop here.
