For years, the word of God has been spread by missionaries going throughout the world. Every corner has been visited, and where they have gone, their work has made an impact on all who the touched. Todays Family Site of the Day visits a site that is continuing that work, in a very remote part of the world.
The name of the site is Baptist Medical Centre, and is located in the African nation of Ghana. Specifically, it is located in the village of Nalerigu, in the Northern Region, at 10 31 N lat. and 0 22 W long. BMC is a 105-bed hospital (inpatient census often runs 120 or higher) that offers full inpatient services. The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week except public holidays. In recent years the yearly statistics have been averaging as follows: 60,000 outpatient visits, 10,000 inpatients, 1,000 major operations, and 2,500 minor procedures. Forty churches have been planted as a direct result of the ministries associated with BMC. You can see the staff of volunteers, and be sure to check the photo page out, you will be amazed at the way it is set up.
This is a wonderful site, one that shows the true power of Jesus, and how He is really working in today’s world. Be sure to spend some time here, you will be glad you did.
