American Presidents Life Portraits

Several years ago, the predecessor to the Family First site (called WorldVillage Family Site of the Day) spent 18 months visiting websites for all of the Presidents of the United States. We used it as a chance to see the variety of leaders that our nation has had, and how those men reflected the times that they served. Today we revisit the final site of that journey, one that gives information about all of our nations leaders, from George Washington to George W. Bush.
The site is called American Presidents Life Portraits is a site that celebrates the careers of the men who have served as the leader of our country. Here you can find out the biographical facts about each presidents, key events in their term of office, personal data such as residences, birthplaces and where they are buried. There is online reference material as well as teachers guide available for use. There is a wealth of links available to supplement these sites, and Internet technology used makes the learning interesting instead of boring.
In a few short weeks, we will again elect (or reelect) a president. Whatever your political beliefs, your opinions or attitudes to the man who will hold that office, we all, as Americans, owe him the respect that this postion commands, and give him the support that he needs to fulfill the position that we have elected him to.
