Al Jolson, World’s Greatest Entertainer

Before Ricky Martin, before Elvis, before even Perry Como, there was an entertainer who captured the hearts of his audience like no ever has since. He was considered by his contemporaries (and many post-contemporaries) to be the greatest entertainer of all time. Today this man is the subject of today’s Family First site.

This website is dedicated to the man who was known as The World’s Greatest Entertainer, a superstar before the word was coined, and whose musical heritage created much of the entertainment industry we know today. He was as popular as Bob Hope when it came to entertaining troops overseas, in fact he was preparing to be one of the first to go to Korea when he passed away in 1950.
