A Glance at My World

Blogging has turned the internet upside-down.
When I first ventured out onto the web some thirteen years ago, you had to know something about html to produce a website. A domain name was quite expensive, and renting server space wasn’t cheap either.
How things have changed. Now, setting up a blog is as easy as 1-2-3, and free to boot.
The result is that hundreds of thousands of folks are sharing their thoughts on the web, and anyone in the world can read them.
Today’s FamilyFirst pick is an example of what I’m talking about. It’s called A Glance at My World.
It’s a typical blog. That is to say it’s the daily observations of a young lady in college with good writing talent.
Here’s what I like about her:
I was born in the 80s but I love everything retro. Happy Days, records, 8-tracks, the Lawrence Welk show, Elvis, American Bandstand, M*A*S*H, old musicals, Route 66!, wow I could go on forever.
She sounds like one of us Boomers in an out-of-body experience!
