Do you like bats?
Let me put it another way. Do you hate mosquitoes?
If the answer to the latter is yes, then your answer to the former should likewise be in the affirmative.
Did you know that one brown bat can (and frequently does) eat 1,200 mosquitoes in a SINGLE HOUR?
Hey, you can have your purple martins. While they are certainly fun birds to have around, forget about them making a dent in your mosquito population.
On the the other hand, a bathouse can allow you to wander your back yard free of skeeters.
